About us

The Liard Hot Springs Lodge and RV Park is nestled in the Northern Rockies in Northeast British Columbia on the famous Alaska Highway. Situated at Mile 497 of the Alaska Highway, just over 300 km (190 Miles) from the town of Fort Nelson, BC, and 140 km (85 Miles) from the BC-Yukon Border. Liard Hot Springs Lodge and RV Park is a central stop along the highway surrounded by incredible northern scenery and across the highway is the second largest natural hot springs in Canada.

On the highway you will witness natural splendour, abundant wildlife, and amazing scenery at every turn. Sightings of moose, lynx, mountain sheep, caribou, bears and even wolves are common. The wood bison in this area are also a sight to see! The heards graze along the Alaskan Highway between Watson Lake and just south of our lodge.

Our lodge and campground area are ideal for families, groups, and romantic getaways; visitors will find this place to be a wonderful place to unwind and reconnect. In the winter, bring your snowmobile, cross-country skis, or snowshoes as there are many little adventures to explore. In the summer months, hiking trails in the surrounding area make enjoyable day trips or go fishing in the Liard River. The hotsprings across the street is always the perfect way to spend the day soaking your cares and worries away any time of the year. The hotsprings waters bubble from the ground at water temperatures ranging from 42° C to 52° C year-round, cascading into pools to soak and relax. This relaxing experience is a ten-minute stroll form the lodge along a wooden boardwalk that meanders through a warm water swamp and boreal forest which supports rich and diverse plant communities as well as mammal and bird species. Watch for moose feeding in the warm water swamps. Due to the lush plant life influenced by the warmth of the springs, the area was originally known as the "Tropical Valley." Stay with us at the Liard Hotsprings Lodge, the beautiful setting will help relieve stress and will be an experience to remember for a lifetime. Stop in and enjoy the basic comforts of our lodge.
